Web Client

A web client is an application that communicates with a web server, using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). For example, the Web browser in the user's machine. It may also refer to plug-ins and applications that enhance the browser to support special services from the site.

Ans. A web client is a computer on a network that requests services from another computer on the Internet. The remote machine containing the document you requested is called a web server. A web browser is a software application used to access and view websites. It enables a user to interact with text, images, videos, music, games and other information located on a web page on a website.

 

If you are connected to the Internet and double click the browser's icon in a few moments, the main screen of the browser appears. The browser then loads up the default home page.

It has private browsing mode with added tracking protection. In private browsing, Firefox blocks online trackers while you browse and won't remember your history after you are done. It blocks some ads and scripts that bog down browsing, pages load up to 44% faster.

The Netscape web browser is the general name for a series of web browsers formerly produced by Netscape Communications Corporation, a former subsidiary of AOL. It is a proprietary software. AOL stopped development of the Netscape browser in February 2008 so is no longer officially supported.

Safari is a graphical web browser developed by Apple. It was first released on desktop in 2003 with Mac OS X; a mobile version has been bundled with iOS devices since the iPhone's introduction in 2007. Safari is the default browser on Apple devices. It too has a private browsing mode that doesn't save browsing history or related information.

Hyperlink referred to as a link and web link, is a word, phrase or image on web page that takes you to another part on the same page or to a different page. Text hyperlinks are often blue and underlined. When you move the cursor over a hyperlink (text or an image) the mouse pointer changes to a small hand pointing at the link.
